Puerto Andratx is a popular sophisticated fishing resort on the south west tip of Mallorca, largely untouched by the major tour operators and hotels. Port d Andratx itself has lovley beaches and one of the coves cala llonga splits the resorts into two parts and has been developed into a large marina were you can particapate in various watersports including diving, para sailing, waterskining, jet sking, wind surfing and private charter a boat to take you out for all sorts of fishing. During the 13th century Andratx was an important centre of mallorcan culture with the bishop of barcelona and king james 1 both having homes there, Almost eight centuries later Andratx is still a desirable place to live many of the impressive villas in and around the resort and english , german and spanish holiday homes and if you are lucky you may get to see the famous people residing in some of them like TOM CRUISE, CLAUDIA SCHIFFER AND SCHUMAKER
