Santa Ponsa is the sort of place where there is something for everyone. Firstly it has the most fantastic beaches, soft white sand, safe waters for children to paddle in and the most beautiful blue/ turquoise sea. Santa Ponsa has everything you need for an ideal holiday. It is a perfect base to explore from . You can easily visit nearby Paguera, the waterfront village of Port Andratx. There is a waterpark within a 10 minute drive and the beautiful city of Palma with its sophisticated shops and stunning cathedral is approximately 15/20 minutes away (by car). There are two top golf courses in Santa Ponsa but visitors are only allowed to use the Santa Ponsa I course which, like Santa Ponsa II, has hosted a PGA European Tour event. Costa de la calma is 20 minutes walking distance. It is an extention of Santa Ponsa (it seams the same town) which has may bars and resturaunts catering for all. The Spanish Square in Costa de la Calma has nightly entertainment for the kids and then each night there are tribute bands to sing and dance along to. An aqua park are within few minutes drive.

Santa Ponsa situated in the south-west of Mallorca island . Located in the municipality of Calvia, it is 18 klm from
the capital Palma de Mallorca. The resort is popular with English, Irish and German tourists. It is predominantly a summer resort with the season lasting from May to October. Santa Ponsa is one of the few Mallorcan resorts with a history, because it was here that King Jaime the First (Jaume in Catalan) landed on 10 September 1229 in his quest to conquer the island and take it from the Moors after more than 300 years of Muslim rule. Mallorca became part of the Kingdom of Aragon following Jaime's conquest, and was later annexed to the Kingdom of Spain.

There are many fine restaurants and bars within Santa Ponsa, a number of which stay open all year long.
Along with these are numerous bars and snack type cafes.There are lots of lovely beaches all along this coastline to suit all tastes from the young and lively like Santa Ponsa to the more family orientated like Camp de Mar and the locals beaches such as Portal Vells with its sparkling water and caves to explore. All amenities can be found in Santa Ponsa, many attractions are a short drive away. The resident parakeets make the scenic coastal walk a most enjoyable trip at any time of day and outside the town most of the island's tourist areas are within a 1 hour drive. The shopping centre (Porto Pi) on the Paseo Maritimo has a selection of the more exclusive shops.

Santa Ponsa holiday resort has an award winning beach with direct wheelchair access to the sea, plenty of shops, restaurants and bars and it can be guaranteed there will always be plenty to do with activities such as Tennis, Watersports, Football, Fishing, Snorkling and Golf all within 20 minutes walking distance . With Port Adriano being 20 minutes walking distance, it's a great place for the water lover. Port Adriano and Santa Ponsa offer everything you will need for an enjoyable holiday, all amenities are available including banks and supermarkets.
